For this project, I designed a promotional poster for a community Elecctric Vehicle (EV) Showcase aimed at educating the public about clean transportation, renewabale energy, and electrification options. The primary goal was to create a visually engaging, easy-to-navigate layout that appealed to a broad audience - from EV enthusiasts to community members new to electrification - while clearly communicating event details. 

Design Approach & Concept

I began by establishing a strong visual hierarchy to ensure the most important information - event title, date, time, and location - was immediately clear. The bold headline "EV Showcase: Electrify Your Life" anchors the design and sets an energetic, forward-looking tone. A green color palette was chosen to reinforce themes of sustainability, clean energy, and environmental stewardship, while darker neutral tones provided contrast and readability.

Layout & Information Organization

Given the density of information, I structured the poster into clearly defined sections: event logistics, schedule highlights, speakers, exhibitors, and sponsors. Grouping related content into visual blocks helped guide the viewer’s eye and made the poster easy to scan. Consistent typography and spacing ensured clarity without overwhelming the audience.

Imagery & Visual Elements

Photography was selected to represent real-world applications of electrification, including electric vehicles, e-bikes, and electric equipment. Circular image frames were used to soften the layout and create visual cohesion, while also adding movement and balance to the composition. Subtle graphic elements and line motifs were incorporated to suggest energy flow and connectivity.

Audience Engagement & Accessibility

To encourage participation, I highlighted interactive aspects of the event—such as talking with EV owners and trying an e-bike—and included a QR code for quick access to additional information. Care was taken to maintain legibility across print and digital formats, ensuring the poster could be shared widely.

Outcome

The final design successfully balances informative content with an inviting, modern aesthetic. It communicates the event’s purpose clearly, supports community engagement, and visually aligns with the values of sustainability and innovation central to the EV showcase.
